I hired these people (from the San Antonio office) to come in and fix a problem and they said they could get to it in a week so, I gave them a deposit. After two weeks I called and asked them to please come out and do what they said they would do. But, instead of assuring me the problem would be handled, I got a lecture about my tone. I was selling my house and needed this job to be done within a certain timeline. This was the second company that I had hired to fix the problem. I finally called in Big Bexar Septic services and they actually showed up the next day. Also, I found out it was not this huge problem that Legend had let me to believe. It was literally a 2 hour fix. Legend had wanted a huge deposit and said that the cost could go up considerably. And it turned out to only be a very slightly blocked pipe that was fixed within two hours. I would consider Legend to be a huge waste of time and a rip off.
I am a landlord. The renter said she had a stopped up kitchen sink. I tried fixing it. Failure. Called about 5 plumbers. Got estimates $125-$150 for relief of problem. Legend showed up first. I cancelled the other. When asked for a figure Alvin would not answer me. "Depends on what it is", he said. He reamed out the clog in 15 min, a good job. Price was $264.50. I told him I was shocked because estimates from another company were half that. I had no choice but to pay after service was rendered. Be careful to get price nailed down before they start. I felt like I'd been suckered. I will not call them except to give them a piece of my mind. Alvin went into a spiel about septic tanks and how I should buy "micro-organisms" to flush into the tanks to keep them operating sufficiently or I will have to spend a lot of money later fixing the supposed damage an untreated system will require. I have always heard, even from plumbers, that these additives are worthless and expensive. I went on line to wiki and it told me essentially that these additives have no proven efficacy. Yeah, overcharge me and then try to sell me something I don't need.
